Accessing my email accounts

Struggling to check your emails? If you're using our web hosting, accessing your domain-based email accounts (like info@yourdomain.com) is easy via built-in Webmail or your favorite email app. No extra software needed for basics just log in and go. This covers reading/sending emails without leaving your browser or setting up Outlook/Thunderbird.

This beginner-friendly guide walks you through Webmail (quickest) and client setup. Assumes you have an email account created — if not, head to cPanel > Email > Email Accounts to make one first.

Why Access Emails in cPanel?

  • Webmail anytime: Check from any device/browser — no app install.
  • Secure & simple: Built-in tools like Roundcube or Horde for full inbox management.
  • Client integration: Sync with phone/desktop for push notifications.
  • Host-managed: No separate email service fees — included in your hosting.
Tip: Always use strong passwords (change in Email Accounts > Manage).

Method 1: Access via Webmail (Browser-Only)

Fastest way — no setup!
  1. Log In to cPanel:
    Go to yourdomain.com/cpanel (or https://cpanel.lunarracks.com) > Enter username/password.
  2. Go to Email Accounts:
In cPanel dashboard > Email section > Click Email Accounts.
  3. Select Your Account:
Find your email (e.g., info@yourdomain.com) in the list > Click Check Email or Access Webmail.
  4. Choose Webmail Client:
    Pick one:
    • Roundcube: Modern, easy (recommended for newbies).
    • Horde: Feature-packed for calendars/contacts.
Click to open — log in with your email password if prompted.
  5. You're In!
Read, send, organize — it works like Gmail.
Direct Webmail Tip: Some hosts let you go straight to yourdomain.com/webmail > Enter email/password > Choose client.

Method 2: Set Up in an Email Client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Phone)

For offline access & notifications.

  1. Get Your Settings:

In cPanel > Email Accounts > Click Connect Devices next to your email.
    Note these:

    • Username: Your full email (e.g., info@yourdomain.com).

    • Password: Your email password.

    • Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com (IMAP: Port 993, POP3: 995 — use SSL).

    • Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com (SMTP: Port 465 — SSL).
      IMAP recommended (syncs across devices).

  2. Add to Client:

    • Outlook: File > Add Account > Manual Setup > IMAP > Enter details.

    • Thunderbird: Tools > Account Settings > Add Mail Account > Enter email/password > Continue (auto-detects often).

    • Phone/Android: Settings > Mail > Add Account > Other > Enter IMAP details.

  3. Test It:
Send a test email to yourself — if it arrives, success!

Security Note: Always use SSL/TLS for encryption.
