Upgrading Your VPS Options

Need more power for your VPS? Upgrading via configurable options in MyRack (our client area) is a breeze – bump RAM, CPU, storage, or add IPs without starting over. It's self-service, prorated billing, and instant (or quick provision after payment). No downtime for most upgrades!

This guide is for beginners – we'll walk through the steps in MyRack. Takes 5 minutes. (If your plan doesn't have configs, order a new tier or contact our support for custom options.)

Why Upgrade via Configurable Options?

  • Flexible scaling: Add resources on-the-fly – no full migration.
  • Prorated cost: Pay only for the difference, billed to your next due date.
  • No data loss: Upgrades apply to your existing VPS in Nebula Core.
  • Self-serve: Do it anytime – no tickets needed for standard options.

Note: Downgrades may have limits (e.g., can't reduce below current use). Check your plan in MyRack for available options.

Step 1: Log In to MyRack

  1. Go to my.lunarracks.com (or the link in your welcome email).
  2. Enter your email and password (reset if forgotten via "Forgot Password").

Tip: Bookmark MyRack – it's your hub for billing, services, and upgrades.

Step 2: Navigate to Your VPS Service

  1. Click Services > My Services
  2. Find your VPS in the list (e.g., "Mercury - myvps.lunarracks.com").
  3. Click on the service name or Manage Product open the management page.

Step 3: Select Upgrade Options

  1. In the manage product, look for Upgrade/Downgrade Options.
  2. You'll see the current and available configurable options (e.g., RAM: 4GB to 8GB, CPU Cores: 2 to 4, Storage: 50GB to 100GB, Extra IPs).
  3. Choose your new specs from dropdowns/sliders (prices update live – prorated preview shown).
  4. Review the options > Click Click to Continue.

Step 4: Checkout & Apply Upgrade

  1. In the Upgrade/Downgrade, confirm details (upgrading options, price difference, payment method, etc.) > Click to Continue.
  2. Pay via your method (card, PayPal, etc.) – instant if no invoice.
  3. Once paid, the upgrade queues – check status in My Services (usually applies in minutes via Nebula Core).
  4. Refresh Nebula Core (launch from MyRack) – new resources show up. Reboot VPS if needed for full effect.

Success! Test your upgraded VPS – run benchmarks or load more apps.
